关于分词作状语时,分词和主语不匹配的问题
很多语法书上说分词做状语时,这个分词的主语必须和主句的主语一致
例如：
Written in a hurry, this article was not so good!
article 和write 是被动关系.
但是为什么这类例子却不匹配?
Given this sweeping progress in gender equality, there is really no sense in denying them the right to stand up for their home country when war breaks out.
或着
Given the general state of his health, it may take him a while to recover form the operation.
这些句子的given 明显和主语不匹配.可是这类句子在很多国外文章中都能找到,请问它们的语法有错吗?为什么?非常感谢

这里的given不是“被给予”,而是介词“考虑到” ,非谓语中有一些结构是固定用法,必须去记忆
