公元前5世纪,古希腊诗人品达罗斯（Pindaros）在他的《哀悼颂》（Odes of Condolence）里面有这样一句诗：thus every dog at last have his day —— He who this morning smiled,at night sorrow.（人人终有得意时,晨时欢笑夜中悲）.我想你也能看得出来,诗前面的dog并不是指狗,而是暗喻“平贱的人”he.但是这诗句就这样断章取义地流传下来,成为我们今天常说的一句谚语：every dog has his day,就是说“每个人都有自己风光的一天”——和我们中文的“风水轮流转”“三十年河东,三十年河西”相去不远.
当你的好朋友不小心放走了机会,或者只差那么小的一点和成功擦肩而过,一定要过去给他一个最有力的拥抱,笑着告诉他：
