Recently, a fashionable exercise form, massive running, is going on in our school. Our class has held a discussion on whether the massive running should take the place of the traditional morning exercises. Opinions are divided as follows: Some students say that they like the massive running. Morning exercises, which they have been used to doing for many years, are boring. It seems as if they have to do morning exercises only in the presence of their teachers. It’s running that provides a real chance for the arms, legs and the whole body to exercise to the full extent. Through running, they can recover from tiredness, and get refreshed, which is a great help to their studies in the following classes of the day. Also, the teachers’ participation will promote the relationship between teachers and students. Therefore, they would like the morning exercises to be replaced. However, others prefer the traditional morning exercises. They argue that the twenty-minute massive running will tire them out. You can imagine what effect the overtime running has on the studies in the following classes. Besides, students read books before running to value every bit of time ,but it is not efficient for some students; and sometimes some students trip over because they are too close to each other when running . What’s more, after the bell announcing the end of the 2nd period rings, all the students have to rush downstairs. Later, they’ll gather on the main roads, so the campus is obviously overcrowded. As far as I’m concerned, running is my favorite in winter in particular. It not only warms us but also builds up our strength.
