Last week, I had an interview with the volunteers from the student council in our school, concerning the issue of using the second-hand textbooks reasonably. According to the volunteers, they gave those books to newcomers as gifts at the very beginning of a new term. They also pointed out that they did it not only because they wanted to save the resources and help the poor students but also because they wanted to inspire students who used the book to work harder.
