There are no peasants (农民) in Britain. The workers on a farm are called farm workers. The farmer pays them every week. There are not many workers on a farm. The farmers have many machines. Britain can now produce about half of its food. It doesn’t produce enough wheat, so some wheat is imported (进口) from other countries. Britain must also import all the hot climate food, such as rice, tea, coffee and so on.
