If it is a self-made card,the card is filled with maker's passion to the receiver,thus,it is supposed to be preserved.Some new cards,such as New Year cards can be reused for the next holliday.Some unusaul pretty cards can be kept or be reused to make a new card.Besides,one can always check out a library or a sernior center to see if they accept those old cards.
