我来说说自己的看法.因为没有context,专门看句子结构来讲吧.如果与你觉得的意思不一样,自己揣摩吧.
我觉得between 必然连people,两者之间不一定是between...and...的结构.因为契约是在两方人之间所以直接用between people并无大碍.
后文的transcend hold maintain 用单三均是修饰contract.契约超越了个人憎恶和派别差异,保持了双方各自的特点,并持续存在于尖锐的矛盾中.请给分.
