The given name will have one or two Chinese characters, though recently, people have begun to choose
some three-character given names. Chinese given names are meant to have special meanings and often
express the parents" wishes for the child, for example, Jiankang (health) and Xingfu (happiness). Some
refer to birthplace, birth time or a natural phenomenon (现象), such as Jing (Beijing), Chen (morning),
