I grew up in a small town. When I was in the third grade, I was chosen to be the        in the school play. My mother helped me practice my lines for weeks. But once I stepped onto the stage, I was too nervous to        the words. Finally, my teacher asked me to         the role to a storyteller. I didn’t tell my mother        had happened when I went home for lunch that day. She knew that I was        from my look. She asked if I wanted to go for a walk in the yard.
It was a lovely         day and the grass was turning green. We could see a lot of yellow dandelions(蒲公英)in the grass. I watched my mother walking towards a dandelion and         it up by its roots(根茎). “From now on, we’ll have only roses in this garden.” she said. “But I like dandelions,” I said. “All        are beautiful —— even dandelions!”
“Yes, every flower gives pleasure in its own way. And that is true of       too. Not everyone can be a princess. You will be a beautiful storyteller,” my mother said, reminding me of how much I       to read stories to her. “The storyteller’s part is just as      as the part of a princess.”
The big day         came. A few minutes before the play, my teacher handed me a      . I looked at it and thought of our        talk. It made me        .
After the play, I took the flower home, and kept it in our family dictionary.

Not everyone can be a princess. You will be a beautiful storyteller可知,妈妈说,不是每个人都可以当公主,你会是一个美丽的故事讲述者。
故选A。
After the play, I took the flower home,在话剧表演完后,我把这朵花拿回了家。
根据上文第一段when I went home for lunch that day. She knew that I was unhappy from my look. She asked if I wanted to go for a walk in the yard.

Kindergartens may teach you very important things you need to know. Dancy, a 5-year-old boy, saved his father’s life with the skills he learned.
The boy’s father became seriously ill on the way home from a father-son shopping. He couldn’t speak and could hardly move, but he tried hard to stop the car safely. At that point, Dancy used his father’s phone to call his mother for help. The 5-year-old boy tried his best to give her useful information and he was able to tell where they were. Just as he had learned in the kindergarten, Dancy read the letters he saw on a nearby store sign: “F,U,R,N,I,T,U,R,E.” But that wasn’t enough for his mother to find them. Then he added that they were near a bridge. Finally, his mother understood he was talking about a store called Furniture 22 on New Jersey’s Route 22. The mother called 911 and the father was saved in time.
“He just thought his dad needed help,” Dancy’s mother told the reporter. She also pointed out that her husband was a hero, too. “It is surprising for him to get off the highway and get himself and his child to safety even when he was so sick,” she said.
