It is Friday night.Kate comes to stay at Lucy 's house.
"Hi Kate,"says lucy.

"It's a book called "Funny Things to Do","says Kate.
"look at page 14." Lucy turns to page 14 and laughs.“A Backwards morning.”she says."That sounds great."“But we have to get ready tonight," says Kate.
The next morning the girls get up.They get ready for bed.They brush their teeth.Lucy reads Kate a bedtime story.

They both laugh.
Now let's go and eat,says Lucy.
Good morning,girls,says Mum and Dad.
Good night,says Lucy and Kate.Mum looks at Dad.Dad looks at Mum.They both look surprised.
Let's eat,says lucy,Mum and Dad look at the table.
The chairs are backwards,says Dad.
And the plates are upside down,says Mum.
The fork is on the right side,says Dad.
And the knife is on the left side,says Mum.
They sit down on the backwards chairs.
Here comes out breakfast,says Dad.
Oh,it's hot dogs,says Mum.
It's not breakfast,says Lucy.
It's dinner,says Kate.
Ah,I think I understand,says Mum.
Yes,everything is backwards,says Dad.They all eat the hot dogs.
Do you want to go to the cinema this afternoon?asks Mum.
No,says Lucy and Kate.
And then go to the ice cream shop?
No,says Lucy and Kate.Mum and Dad smile.Lucy and Kate look unhappy.
"‘No' means ‘yes’,you know,”says Lucy.
Because it's a backwards morning,says Kate.
Yes,we know,says Mum.
Now get dressed and let's go to the cinema,says Dad.Everyone laughs.
