原句是it befell me to experience the sensation
作者用关系代名词 which 来把 will there be ... sensation来连结在一起
但这样的写法(当which之前没有逗号及作为宾语时)
通常会被省略
即
Will there be repeated that same sensation it befell me to experience...
所以问题不在於为何要加it
而是为何不省去 which
之不过
保留which不构成语法上的错误
