I refer to the agreement made between my company and XXX Co.Ltd.of Anhui Province,China in which we agreed to provide them with a set of Japanese-manufactured equipment for production of preserved vegetables.However,one piece of equipment is a second-hand equipment.As we are not familiar with the regulations on importation of equipment into China,the second-hand equipment did not go through the CCIC inspection at the Japanese port of shipment.Therefore,this piece of equipment failed to pass the customs clearance.As such,we have no alternative but to return the whole container in its original manner to the Japanese port to go through the CCIC inspection formalities before shipment can be made once again to the Shanghai port in China.This letter serves to certify the agreement by my company regarding the return of the equipment to the Japanese port.
