（1）neither可与of构成短语,做主语时,谓语动词用单数,如
Neither of the two boys is a student.这两个男孩都不是学生.
（2）neither做定语,与单数名词连用,如
We saw neither side could win.我们知道双方都不能赢
但是neither...nor...可与复数名词连用
Neither bird nor beasts would have the bat as their friend.鸟和兽都不把蝙蝠当作朋友.
either...or...以为或者……或者……
（1）either之两者中的任意一个,如
Here are two novels.You may read either.这儿有两本小说,你可以读任何一本.
（2）either一般与单数名词连用,如
Here are two apples,you can take either.这儿有两个苹果,你可拿任何一个.
但either...or...可与复数名词连用,如
You can get either these apples or those bananas.
还可以连接两个句子,如
Either you are mad,or I am.要么是你发疯了,要么是我发疯了.
