分词作状语和定语的时候该怎么区分?
这是做阅读时文章里的一个句子：

我的疑问是 分词作结果状语从句为什么没有逗号?分词作后置定语却带了逗号?
还有就是我自己写的句子：1.The study,conducted by Mrs,is seeking for the true reasonof such phenomena.2.The study conducted by Mrs is seeking for.3.Conducted by Mrs,the study is seeking for.
我的理解是：3句当然是分词作状语 2句是分词作后置定语 那么1句呢?是定语还是状语?该怎么区分理解此类结构句子?
