Dear Diary,
Here I am in the middle of a city,350miles far away from our farmhouse. Do you want to know why we move last week? Dad lost his job, and as Mom explained,”He was lucky to find other one ”. His new job meant I had to say goodbye to my classmate, my school or just everything else I love in the world . To make matters bad, now I have to share a room with my younger sister, Maggie. Tomorrow is first day of school. I am awfully tiring, but I know I’ll never fall sleep.
Good night and remember, you , dear diary, is my only souvenir from my past life and my only friend.
Yours,
Rosemary

2:move-moved
小题3:other-another
小题4:classmate-classmates
小题5:or-and
小题6:bad-worse
小题7:first前加the/my
小题8:tiring-tired
小题9:sleep-asleep
小题10:is-are

Here I am in the middle of a city, 350 miles far away from our farmhouse.(去掉far, far不与确切的数字连用。)
Do you want to know why we move last week?
He was lucky to find other one.(改成another,另一个应用another)
His new job meant I had to say goodbye to my classmate,my school or just everything else I love in the world.(改成classmates,我的同学应该不止一个,故应用复数形式)
His new job meant I had to say goodbye to my classmate,my school or just everything else I love in the world.(改成and,我跟我的同学,我的学校以及我喜爱的一切说再见,我的同学,我的学校以及我喜爱的一切是并列关系,故改成and)
To make matters bad, now I have to share a room with my younger sister, Maggie.(改成worse,让事情变得更糟糕,to make matters worse;前后是递进关系,故用比较级)
Tomorrow is first day of school.
I am awfully tiring, but I know I’ll never fall sleep.(改成tired, tiring表性质,tired表感受
I am awfully tiring, but I know I’ll never fall sleep.(改成asleep,fall asleep睡着,固定短语)
Good night and remember, you, dear diary, is my only souvenir from my past life and my only friend. (改成are,因为主语是you, dear diary是you 的同位语,不是主语)

My name is Clara. I still remember that chilly December day, sitting in science class. I’d finished a worksheet early and picked up a Time for Kids magazine. A piece of news caught my eye. NASA was holding an essay contest to name its Mars rover Before I even knew anything else about it, a single word flooded my 11-year-old mind: Curiosity.
I couldn’t wait for the bell to ring so I could get started on my essay. That afternoon, I raced home, sat down at the computer, and typed until my fingers ached. “Curiosity is an everlasting flame that burns in everyone’s mind…”
Five months later, my mom received a phone call, and immediately, a wide smile spread across her face.
On August 5, 2012, at 10:31 p.m., the rover named Curiosity touched down safely on the surface of Mars, and I was honored to have a front-row seat in NASA.
Curiosity is such an important part of who I am. I have always been fascinated by the stars, the planets, the sky and the universe. I remember as a little girl, my grandmother and I would sit together in the backyard for hours. She’d tell me stories and point out the stars. Grandma lived in China, thousands of miles away from my home in Kansas, but the stars kept us together even when we were apart. They were always there, yet there was so much I didn’t know about them. That’s what I love so much about space.
People often ask me why we go to faraway places like Mars. My answer is simple because we’re curious. We human beings do not just hole up in one place. We are constantly wondering and trying to find out what’s over the hill and beyond the horizon.
